Gordon Mitchell, who founded Mitchell Metal Products in 1954 with his wife Arlette, began producing wreath rings two years later for the Christmas supply industry at the behest of local wreath producers. It was so successful that Gordon established Mitchell Wreath Rings that same year in 1956.

Today Mitchell Wreath Rings are recognized around the world as the premier wire rings for Christmas and craft wreaths. The company enjoys its standing as one of the largest producers of wire wreath rings in North America.

In 2008 a major transition took place when Tim Zimmerman headed up the purchase of Mitchell Wreath Rings from the founding family.
